KÖRTING HANNOVER

MADE IN GERMANY.
ENGINEERED IN HANNOVER.

ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE FOR MORE THAN 150 YEARS

Körting has stood for superb engineering and uncompromising quality since 1871. These two strengths underpin everything we do. Our corporate culture revolves around solutions for customers that are tailored to their challenges.

We have all the expertise under one roof – from engineering to production to commissioning. An integrated approach that has shaped our company for more than 150 years. And impresses our customers again and again. Our definition of quality is also to provide a performance check during production. This is not a given in the industry by any means, but necessary for us to achieve the engineering excellence we strive for. Because this is the only way we can create durable, reliable and customised solutions that offer real added value.

MULTI-STAGE STEAM JET VACUUM SYSTEMS

VACUUM SYSTEMS WITH MIXING CONDENSERS

Almost unlimited application possibilities coupled with high reliability in operation, individually designed for each application - these are Körting vacuum systems with mixing condensers. Solutions for the process industry that have been tried and tested worldwide and are still in demand. Find out on the following pages which options they can be used in.

The vacuum system shown in the diagram achieves a suction pressure of 1 mbar. The temperature of the cooling water determines the achievable pressure in the first mixing condenser. In this example, two jet pump stages are connected in series to achieve a suction pressure of 1 mbar with minimal use of propellant. Two further jet pump stages compress uncondensed components from the first mixing condenser to atmospheric pressure. Here, too, the propellant steam from the upstream jet pump is condensed by an intermediate mixing condenser.

VACUUM SYSTEMS WITH SURFACE CAPACITORS

The multi-stage Körting vacuum systems, which are individually designed for each application, offer a wide range of possible uses. The use of surface condensers has proven itself in process technology. The major advantage is the separation of cooling water and process medium. Körting vacuum systems with surface condensers are available in various options.

The diagram described here shows a three-stage vacuum system. In this example, two jet pump stages are connected directly in series to achieve a suction pressure of 1 mbar with minimal use of propellants. The temperature of the available cooling water determines the achievable pressure in the first surface condenser. A further jet pump stage compresses the non-condensed components from the first surface condenser. The propellant steam from the upstream jet pump is condensed in the downstream surface condenser.

STEAM JET VACUUM EJECTOR

Steam jet vacuum ejectors remove gases and/or vapours from process operations thereby generating a vacuum in the reactor. The suction flow is compressed to a higher pressure.

APPLICATIONS

General

  • start-up evacuation of tanks and reactors
component part of multi-stage vacuum units

Edible oil production

  • sucking and compressing hexane/vapour mixtures in the extraction plant

LIQUID JET VACUUM EJECTOR

Körting Hannover 133_liquid_jet_vacuum_ejector

Liquid jet vacuum ejectors suck off gases and/or vapours from a process. The lowest possible suction pressure in the reactor is only limited by the vapour pressure of the motive liquid. It is possible to compress to atmospheric or even higher pressure.

Shipbuilding

  • evacuation of suction pipelines of non-self-priming centrifugal pumps

Sea-water evaporators

  • generation of the necessary vacuum

Dredgers

  • de-gassing of the dredged materials (removal of natural gas)

Power plants

  • evacuation of turbine condensers

Chemical industry

  • evacuation of condensers

  • removal of air-/product vapour mixes in vacuum processes

SYSTEMS WITH LIQUID RING VACUUM PUMPS

Liquid ring vacuum pumps are mechanical vacuum pumps. They use electricity to create a vacuum and therefore stand apart for low operating costs. They are used to convey gas or steam mixes.

Customised design

In addition to our standard designs, customer-specific requirements can also be realised - depending on your needs and the requirements of the process. As an independent system supplier, Körting has access to components from a wide range of manufacturers.
